After a lengthy diversion courtesy of USPS it finally arrived in fairly good condition considering it had no sunlight for over a week. The spikes were quite elongated and the foliage considerably darker, but otherwise plant appeared robust and alive. Fortunately, post office delivered it just before the freezing temps arrived. In the future I would gladly pay for an express delivery service to minimize the trauma that can occasionally happen!
